Color Palettes

CityDesk limits authors to eight colors so that site designers can choose colors from a palette which is harmonious with the graphic design of the templates. The designer can choose to make available any eight colors.

To control which colors are available:

*  Make sure you are in Designer Mode.

*  In the main window, choose View » Color Palette, or click on the Color Palette tool:

Color Palette
Palette

A dialog will appear showing the current eight colors.

To change any color:

*  Click on the solid color button that you wish to change.

*  Choose one of the basic colors and click OK.

If the exact color you want is not one of the basic colors:

*  Click Define Custom Colors.

*  Specify the exact color you want and click Add to Custom Colors

*  Click OK.

When you have finished setting up the colors you want:

*  Click OK.

This will change the eight colors that are available from the build-in CityDesk article editor. It will not change the color of any existing text.
