Formatting TextCityDesk allows you to format text using the Format menu or the toolbar.
To change the appearance of text you've already typed, select the text and then issue the appropriate format command.
To change the appearance of text as you type it, issue the format command without selecting anything. This will affect future typing.
The following format commands affect the appearance of text:
Bold
Italic
Underline
Font Size - Click on the tool itself to set the font to a "normal" size. Click on the small down arrow next to it to choose from a menu of 7 different sizes for text.
Font Color - Click on the small down arrow next to the tool for a menu of 8 different colors for text. (To change which colors are available, see Color Palettes).
The following format commands affect the appearance of entire paragraphs:
Left Justify
Center
Right Justify
Bullet List
Numbered List
Indent
Unindent
To remove formatting, select text and choose Format » Remove Formatting.
CityDesk's article editor intentionally provides only basic formatting features in articles, because articles get most of their formatting from the templates that they are merged with. You probably don't want every article on your site to use a different font family, for example. In CityDesk things like the font family come from from the template, so that you don't have to format each article: you can set up the page format in the template once and every article that uses that template will look the same.
