Editing in HTML View

If you know HTML, you can control the formatting of your article more precisely by editing the HTML version of your article.

HTML is a special language used to control the exact appearance of documents on the Internet. To edit articles with CityDesk, you don't have to know HTML. The built-in word processor converts your document to HTML automatically.

To edit the HTML version of an article:

*  Open the article for editing.

*  Click on the HTML View button in the bottom of the article, or choose View » HTML Source.

When you are finished, you can switch back to Normal View.

CityDesk automatically remembers whether you prefer to edit a given article in Normal View or HTML View, and will open the article in the same view the next time you open it.

Regrettably, when you switch from HTML to Normal view and then back again, CityDesk will reformat your HTML text. The new text still means the same thing and it will be perfectly valid HTML, but it's not exactly formatted the way you originally formatted it, and some attributes may be rearranged. Such are the vicissitudes of life. If you require very particular formatting of your HTML source, stay in HTML mode and don't switch to Normal mode.
