CityDesk 2.0-Documentation
Save and Preview

While you are editing an article, you can preview it in a web browser to see how it will look once the template is applied. This is usually faster than previewing the entire site.

*  In the article window, choose File » Save and Preview or click the Save and Preview tool Preview in the toolbar.

CityDesk will save any changes you made, and start to publish the page.

To insure that your site is complete, when you choose Save and Preview, CityDesk will also preview any files which this page might require to display properly, such as pictures, and it will rebuild any files which contain CityScript code that might have changed as a result of changing the article.

When you use Save and Preview, CityDesk will not preview any other articles other than this one. That means that hyperlinks to other pages in your site will not work. You will need to do a full site preview by clicking Preview in the main window if you want to test hyperlinks between pages.

When everything is done, a button appears which lets you view the new page using Microsoft Internet Explorer.

*  Click on the Internet Explorer button to see the page in Internet Explorer.

To use other web browsers that you may have installed, see Testing in Other Web Browsers.
