CityDesk 2.0-Documentation
Designer Mode

CityDesk Designer Mode is intended for web-site designers who are defining the structure and appearance of a web site. When Designer Mode is on, all features of CityDesk are available.

When Designer Mode is off, CityDesk provides a simpler user interface which is safe for users who only need to create and edit articles.

Typically, you will turn on designer mode when you are creating the templates for a site, setting up audiences, languages, variables, and publish locations, and choosing the color palette.

You may want to turn off designer mode when you are installing CityDesk for a user whose only responsibility is to create and edit articles. By hiding features they don't need, this makes the program simpler and easier to learn.

To turn Designer Mode on or off:

*  In the main window, choose View » Designer Mode or type Ctrl+M.

When Designer Mode is on, you will see a second toolbar in the main window.
