Copying and Pasting Articles

You can use the Windows clipboard to cut, copy, and paste articles. Articles can be copied or moved from folder to folder, or you can run two copies of CityDesk side by side to copy or move them from one site to another.

  To cut an article so that you can move it somewhere else, select the article, and then choose Edit » Cut.

  To copy an article so that you can duplicate it somewhere else, select the article, and then choose Edit » Copy.

  To paste an article that you have cut or copied, select the destination, then choose Edit » Paste.

If there is already an item with the same name as the one you are trying to paste, CityDesk will rename the copy to avoid a conflict.

You can also cut, copy, and paste files (such as pictures or HTML files) in your site or between sites.
