FogBugz is optimized to make it easy to enter bug reports. We want it to be trivial to capture every possible flaw and rough edge in your product, even if you’re not sure if it’s a bug, so nothing is forgotten. This kind of finicky perfectionism is what makes really great software.
Bugs can be entered through the web interface, through email, through the FogBugz API, and even through our exclusive screenshot tool (available for Windows and Macintosh), which captures bugs on the screen and submits them to FogBugz with three mouse clicks.
Bug reports have no required fields. Unlike high ceremony bug tracking systems, we’d rather have you submit an incomplete report than decide that it’s too hard to fill out some big complicated form. If you’re in a rush, FogBugz even lets you leave out the title—you can always add one later, and it’s better to get something into the system before you forget about the bug.
