Access: Importing data from On Demand or trial

Step 1

Run FogBugz setup. Choose Access as the database option. When the SETUP wizard has finished, it launches a web page and asks you to install licenses. Don't install them yet. Just minimize the browser window.

Step 2

In another browser window, log into your hosted account as a Site Administrator. Click Settings at the top right, then "My On Demand Account", and click the download link for "Access format". Download and save the .MDB file to your computer. Put this file in your ...\FogBugz\Accessories folder to replace the one that is already there. Make sure this file is not read/only, and that the Windows user account you instructed FogBugz to run under (by default it's named 'FogBugz') has full permissions on this file.

Step 3

Bring up FogBugz in your web browser. (If at this point you get an error message, please re-read the above steps and verify that you didn't do something differently.) Install your licenses, set your options, and log on. Presto magicko, you should see all the data you created on our trial server like so many eggs in a basket!
