Although FogBugz was able to create the account successfully, the account doesn't appear to work
Error Message:
When installing FogBugz, and telling the Windows installer to create a Windows account for the FogBugz user, you see: "Although FogBugz was able to create the account successfully, the account doesn't appear to work".
Alternatively, if you tell the installer to use an existing Windows account, it says "Invalid user or password", even if you have tested the user and password.
Details:
This is a Windows permission error.
Solution:
- Create the FogBugz user account manually (Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Local Users and Groups->Users, right-click in the window and select New User...)
- Go to Administrative Tools->Local Security Policy->Local Policies->User Rights Assignment.
- Give the FogBugz user the right to "Access this computer from the network".
- Tell the installer to use the existing FogBugz account.
