Confluence Importer
How to run the Confluence importer
Note: this requires at least jre1.6.0 (Java SE 6).
- Download the Confluence Importer jarfile for Java
- Backup your Confluence site to a zipped XML file. Make sure to backup attachments, as well. Save the
ZIP archive somewhere you can find it.
- Run the Confluence Importer tool.
- Navigate to the ZIP file and open it
- Enter your FogBugz 6 login information and URL
- If you have a proxy, enter it in the following format: proxy.domain.net:8080
- Click "Import from Confluence". The import will be done shortly. If an error prevents the import from succeeding, you must delete the Wikis that were created and restart the import process from step 2.
What to expect
- The Confluence importer will not import a Space over top of a FogBugz Wiki. For example, if you have a Wiki named "Documentation" already in FogBugz, and try to import a Confluence Space named "Documentation" as well, the importer will not replace the existing wiki in FogBugz, and the import might not work as expected.
- All attachments associated with Wiki pages will be uploaded; however, they might not have an explicit link associated with them.
- Old revisions of Wiki pages will be imported, but all revisions will show their creator as the user you logged into FogBugz as.
- You must log in as an administrator to use the importer, because it requires permission to create Wikis.
- The following information will be discarded: drafts, blogs, mail, labels (These will be handled by the Confluence importer at a later date), permissions, anchors (intra-page links), most Confluence macros, and page hierarchy (children/parents)
